Q6600 with 3ghz block?

Ughhhhhhhhhh

Im so pissed. I cant get my Q6600 over 3.0ghz!! I can get it to almost 3 ghz, but then Vista craps out and\\or computer wont boot.

I have a GA-P35-DS3L with 8GB PC8500 ram... think thats my problem????

The current settings that WORK are...
Multi: 9.0
FSB: 323
System Memory Multiplier: 3.0
DDR2 Overvoltage: +0.2V
CPU Voltage: 1.37500

Now, if I try to bump it any higher, specifically to 333 FSB, I get a BSOD from Vista. Even if I set the voltage to 1.4 (which is high for only 3.0ghz) I still get a BSOD! Anyone have any suggestions?

you should only have to bump up you vcore like 2 or 3 notches above vid for it to be stable at 3.0. have you tried using only 2 gigs of ram?

ok ill up my NB and mch... get back to you guys
post #7 of 30
crank NB voltage up to 1.6v or more. i wouldnt go above 1.65v though at the most 1.7v. are you using x4 2gb RAM sticks? try going with 4gb first. your cpu voltage should be good enough to hit 3.2ghz, so thats fine.

edit: btw, what is stock ram voltage?
