ok, this was originally posted by ericeod, i have followed these settings, and have got all my GO's up to 3.4. the ones with lower VID i can get to 3.6.

To get 3.4GHz-3.6GHz with your Q6600 assuming the CPU can handle 3.6GHz at 1.5v or less (this OC is very doable with these settings). These arent difinitive, it is all based on the CPU, but these settings are solid for the board itself and should get you started.

Advanced BIOS Features
CPU Enhanced Halt (C1E) Disable
CPU Thermal Monitor 2(TM2) Disable
CPU EIST Function (Note) Disable

MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)
CPU Host Clock Control Enabled
x CPU Host Frequency (Mhz) 400
PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) 100
System Memory Multiplier (SPD) 800 (with your FSB at 400, it will 1:1)

System Voltage Control
DDR2 OverVoltage Control: +.03v (default is 1.8v)
PCI-E OverVoltage Control [Normal]
FSB OverVoltage Control +0.2v
(G)MCH OverVoltage Control +0.2v (This is your northbridge voltage, might need +0.3 when running over 400 FSB with quad)
CPU Voltage Control 1.40v - 1.5v (it might need less then 1.40v, or it might need a bit more... only testing will tell)

Depending on what bios you have, you might have to press [CTRL+F1] in the main bios menu to access advanced memory timing options.

"performance enhance" standard
SPD: 2.4 (giving me 800 mhz)
ddr2 overV: +.3
FSB overV: +.2
MCH overV +.2
cpu volt control: 1.40 (moved it to 1.412 and still nothing)

but its def my memory thats tghe problem I think... what should I do??

link to the ram I have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231166

what is your memory timming? Have you manually set it yourself?

you probably know this, but if you can't find the settings, press and hold ctrl+f1 at the main menu and go back into MIT, and set the timming to your memory spec.

I would suggest jumping the ram up to 2.2v. That seems to be the sweet spot for DDR2, and the value you dont want to go over as well. If you dont have something cooling the ram you might want to try that. hang an 80mm fan over the sticks if you can. I know, ghetto-rigging stuff sucks, but it'll stabilize ram and make them run cooler anyways. You probably dont need the fan, but its nice to have it anyways. My ballistix get warm at 2.2v, but thats common for ballistix.. so just as a suggestion, you might want to think about it.

edit: just noticed your ram specifies only 2.1v. Id be cautious about going over that specification. Use the advice above at your own risk.....
