this is my first mod on a computer so please be gentle..lol

i got ahold of an dreaded HP Pavilian a705w - walmart special - motherboard is gone in it, so i figured that i couldnt make it worse by modding it a little..lol

i just have some basic mod plans for this to start - yes i know its been done somewhere but i like the looks of it and want it..lol

i am going to cut a Monster M into the side panel. green lights inside. clean up the wires, green sleaves on them.of course the their will be plenty of green lights..... after that, i will do it as i feel the need

to the case i am going to paint it all black, inside and out.also going to add a blow hole in the front and possibley some more fans somewhere else

heres my bro-in laws exact model of what i am using

almost all stripped down

the Monster M - drawn on where i am going to cut

any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.

Looks good. despite being a HP they are actually very sturdy cases. They do have lousy airflow and any thing to help that would be a step in the right direction(remove any possible mesh, add fans...). Paint always helps in the looks department.

yah its an HP but it was free..lol

fixing air flow problem in the next couple of days... blow hole in front, cutting mesh from back of tower

as far as paint, it will be all black except the custom grills which will be close to monster green

hp's are great imo if you cant build one yourself. i have used many hp computers in the past before i started custom building my own. they still run great today! cases are VERY VERY sturdy. very thick metal used. could be practically used as a chair! my cousin uses two hp cases as stands for a table he has in his family room! sure its ghetto but it works! he had several computers put on top of the table as well! haha XD
