WoW is going whack

Thread Starter
ok this started happening after playing for a few hours on and off in WoW. things would like cling to me. i was able to screenshot it when it was really bad.

anyone know what this is caused by? my max load temp while playing only got up to 48c, and its idle right now at 41c. any info would be appreciated. thanks

I used to experience something similar in another game, I called the anomalies jaggies. In my case, a video driver update fixed it (mine were more stripes of colour that extended in to infinity), but in your case, it sounds like overheating. Blow all the dust out of your graphics card's heatsink and download a GPU temperature monitoring program. Post your temperatures after an hour or so of playing WoW, that way we can see for sure if it's temperature related.

Looks like either:

1) Video card artifacts. Check the temps.

2) HDD files corruption. Try re-installing.

3) My gear is better than your so I am awesome. Kidding.

EDIT: Also, contrary to popular belief WoW stresses the HELL out of your computer. I have run orthos stable for 2+ hours only to have WoW crash it in 15 minutes.

...

If you are using add-ons, and the game just updated, you may be having compatibility issues...

If you are using add-ons, try disabling them all and see if it fixes, if it does, turn them on one by one until you find the culprit.

EDIT: Sorry you posted this right after I did! Sorry for sounding like a jerk!

EDIT2: I'm going to bed... it's 4 am and I got to be at work at 10:30 Damn job...
