Ok, so i have had my Cpu at 3.2Ghz for a while now, and thats starting to bore me

so... here's what I have so far:

CPU host Frequency - 430Mhz
Memory Frequency - 800(SPD) 1032(Auto)

vcore - 1.35 (coretemp)

PCI-E - Auto (unknown)

all this gives me 3.44Ghz @ 50*C with orthose running a small ffts for about 3 minutes or so.

screeny:

So..... what now? obviously higher... but what safe steps should I take?

You shoud be able to at least get 3.6 easy. Pump the vcore 1.4. What is your nb and fsb at right now. See if you can pump nb to 1.4v and fsb to 1.4v. I have the e6850 and it's running at 3.6 @ 1.4v.

Bump the vcore definitely, but coretemp is always wrong with vcore, and cpu-z is taking into account vdroop there.

Raise vcore a bit, probably like 1.42-1.44, see if you can get 3.6

I won't say its easy, and I don't like using 3.6 for 24/7 use (use 3.2), but you can do it.

PM if ya want some helpz, otherwise I might not read the thread.

Hmm, well i upped the vcore to 1.36 and the FSB to 440 an I cant get a windows boot. It will post, but no load to windows.

EDIT: Also, the wierd part is, i put the vcore back to 1.35 and now CPU-Z is showing a 1.4 Vcore...

Bring the vcore up your not going to get far with a +0.01v increase especially on this chip I have mine at 3.8 ghz at 1.44v in CPU-Z and 1.4875v in the BIOS

No it isnt the DS3L, just a standard DS3.
So what you are saying, mega_option101, is that if i have the vcore too low when i up the FSB, that could be the problem for not having a windows boot?

Im a little worried about upping the vcore anymore if it wouldnt even boot

I have the same CPU and I was wondering if setting the PCI-E Frequency to 100 or 101 is necessary. That's because when I leave it to "Auto", then I can set the FSB Frequency at 400MHz and more, but when I set it to both 100 or 101, then I cannot overclock the FSB, it just reaches 340MHz (default=333MHz).

My vcore is set to 1.49. And I can only max mine at 3.44ghz (573fsb), even with the core voltage raised all the way to the chips max. The core temps are all in normal specs even with full load, and Orthosed for 12 hours stable. I still have to find out whats holding mine back. I tryed tuning back the ram and setting all the other voltages higher but still no higher. I tryed upping the core volate higher past 1.5 and only got up to 3.6ghz before it started to crash.
