my E6750 is running 24/7 @ 3.5Ghz with 1.35Vcore
NB @ 1.6V
FSB @ 1.45V
DIMM @ 2.1V
for 3.9Ghz i set it to 1.5Vcore
NB @ 1.6V
FSB @ 1.45V
DIMM @ 2.3V

maybe this`ll help. if not...i can always post more numbers from my setup

you have an 8x multi you know, that should give you 4.6GHz haha which isn't possible with this chip as far as i've seen. If you use a higher multi and a lower FSB those chips have gone as high as 4GHz. maybe turn off speedstep and c1e if you haven't. i really dont understand why you'd be using the lowest end of your multi if you're going for a high cpu overclock as opposed to a high RAM overclock, which is what you seem to be doing. your ram is probly holding you back at this point so:

1. up multi to 8
2. set fsb to 465
3. see where that gets you

hope i could help

That's because when I leave it to "Auto", then I can set the FSB Frequency at 400MHz and more, but when I set it to both 100 or 101, then I cannot overclock the FSB, it just reaches 340MHz (default=333MHz).
I still have the same Gigabyte P31 (my MSI isn't arriving until tomorrow).

Here are some home truths about this board.

It sucks at overclocking

I can't get past 3.2Ghz for the life of me, regardless of voltage. I have the same CPU as well.

Also with the PCI-E frequency, you HAVE to set it to AUTO in order to overclock. I've tried everything. Don't worry though, the frequency will still stay at 100Mhz (I checked with ClockGen). Its just the way this board is.

I decided to upgrade to P35 because the P31, although a good budget board, wasn't giving me the overclocking headroom I wanted. Plus I cannot use 4GB of Double-sided RAM!

I have an e6750 running 24/7 at 3.6

450fsb x 8 multi
1.4675vcore (bios) 1.43V (windows)
Mch +.1V
Ram locked 1:1 @ 900mhz @ 2.0Vbios @ 4-4-4-12 (800mhz stock)
Tuniq Tower for cooling, ~53C load

I would say you are being ram limited at this point, try locking it at 1:1, the P35 chipset is great for overclocking, at least on my DS3L it is.

Its not the RAM, its the board.

Thank you. Since I saw around the net this value must be at 100/101, I was worried about killing my GPU.

That's ok lol. I went through the same hassle myself. Been running AUTO now for 6 months without any problems.

I would realistically try to just aim for 3.2Ghz at the moment and try to get the lowest voltage you can get with that clock speed.

Save yourself the time and pain of trying to get over 3.2! I've booted Windows with 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.6 and all are unstable regardless of voltage.

Well I tried some days ago to reach 3.6GHz, but i kept getting an error message regarding the GPU drivers, they kept crashing with any 3D application. So i rolled back to 3.00GHz. Now I'll try to get as higher as possible.

Anyway, I think - and I'm not the only one - this CPU is one of the most overclockable, even though my MoBo is not the best I could actually have.

P.S.: forgive me for my English, I'm Italian and I hope I'm not making big speech mistakes. =P

I cannot overclock the FSB more than 410MHz, because if I raise that value, after booting up Windows the GPU drivers crash and a BSOD appears with an error of nvlddmkm.sys.
