Couldn't he use a windows based overcloking utility instead of overclocking in the bios?

Like clockgen or something. I'm not sure thought I just overclock in the bios.

There have been success stories with that but on my system, it's a no go. A 1Mhz overclock is an instant freeze. I've been thinking about the Q6700 as I think it will do well for a few years to come.
