Asus LCD Poster ***?! - Page 2

post #11 of 15
Maybe this is a bug with the Striker II Formula. I have the Maximus formula and it works good for me.
Try putting Striker II Formula in the Title and someone else with one will respond.

BTW I have found several Asus programs don't work or don't work well with their boards. I've had several of their boards and I like them a lot, but this is an annoyance.

My lcd poster works fine, but of course an entirely different board.

Completly unrelated;

When I had installed the asus software that came on the disk with the motherboard, every time I would try and type or right click in an application or window it would lock up (just that window/application). Force stopping all the asus processes in task manager would get rid of that locking.

Removed all the asus software from my pc and threw the disk away. Piece of junk. Could of been cos im running x64 vista but I ddnt care nothing worthwhile in that software anyway.

I had the same thing, running Vista 64. But it also happened with my P5B deluxe running XP pro32. Some programs worked others didn't.

Well at least I know it's buggy so I'll call Asus when the time comes and find out what they say. I might as well hit my head into a wall but maybe they know something we don't LOL

It must be a Bios issue because when I disable it in the bios the backlight stays on constantly but still blinks. I'm sure Asus will eventually get around to putting out a Bios that works...another LOL IMO

Thanks!

Well I couldn't stand the blinking anymore so I called Asus and talked to a gal in their accessories department. After telling her my issue she didn't know what the hell an LCD Poster even was...so I actually had her go to newegg to pull up the picture of the motherboard and it's accessories lol. After telling her what item it was she sent out a brand new one free of charge! She only requested I send back the faulty one (which I still haven't done). Nevertheless EVERYTHING is functioning properly! I can turn the backlight off and on at my leisure, it doesn't blink and shows the correct time all the time! YAY!

Just thought I'd let everyone know. Must've been a bad run of them or something...coming from Asus that never ever happens right ;-)
