I can't stablize my e6420 - Page 2

What kind of ram are those? They can't overclock at all?

If I was you I would turn down that memory voltage.. They are rated at 1.9 to 2.2 @ 5-5-5-12

Nice Overclock! What are your temps.
I top out at 3.2Ghz also. I have to set V.core to 1.525 to get it to run orthos for 6 hours, But my temps get into the low 60's at the that speed. I know have settled on 3.1ghz, V.core 1.425. An extra tenth on the V.core for 100Mhz for me is not worth the the risk vs the high temps. At 3,1Ghz the temps stay at mid 50's for gaming.
Just curious, What are you pulling on 3DMark06?
I can get 11407 at max Overclock on GPU and CPU

The nForce boards like 1:1 FSB / RAM ratios. If you wanna run RAM faster with a 1:1 ratio, just drop your CPU multiplier and crank up your FSB.

Yeah I am interested in this as well.

My sig rig tops out at 3.2Ghz, but I only have 667Mhz memory...so I am not sure I can run 1:1 even if I drop the mulitiplier. I only have an option for 6,7, or 8.

I idle at 33 and max out at 50 with a Igloo 5700 with a 21 ambient. I have a TRUE sitting next to me that will be going into my Antec P182 on Thursday so I thought about re-visting my overclock then as I have been stable at 3.2 for 6 months now.

Is my RAM going to limit me too much though? I know there is someone else on here who has the exact same board, processor everything, but he has 800Mhz RAM and he is able to reach 3400 easily at 425Mhz FSB with 1:1 RAM. But overclocking his 800Mhz RAM to 850 is easy..I can't get my RAM to go above 711Mhz before it craps out.

Everest says my ram is 266 at 4-4-4-12 and 333 at 5-5-5-15...what does that mean exactly?

I have my timings set to 4-4-4-12 now but I dropped them to 5-5-5-15 when I tried overclocking my memory past 711 and it still didn't work.
