American made motherboards

I've took part in a few discussions about whether there are any motherboards from American companies that are actually manufactured in the United States. It seems there are some people interested to know. Well believe it or not, there are. There's an American company called Chassis Plans that manufactures different Intel based industrial boards that have support for Pentium 4, Pentium D, and Core 2 processors, as well as DDR2 memory. They've got a pretty good warranty plan too.

mth91, it's a mystery to me why there aren't that many American MOBOs in the US market. I mean, people have shown that they'll pay a high amount if the quality of a board is good. And there are even those from other countries that want American products.

@ Emmanuel. That's not a bad idea. I don't know if I'll be able to upgrade to an American board if it doesn't have the latest proc support like my Asus.

I agree with what you said here. They do supply the military, so at least they don't have to get all of their electronic gear from China. About the quality, well, I only know of one person that uses a Chassis Plans MOBO and he says the build quality is very good. Apparently though, they aren't designed with much OC potential.

Hmm maybe they're afraid of jumping into that kind of market but I think they should.

That's why they don't list a price next to the boards. They don't want to scare you with the price.
