Computer's beeping. - Page 2

Uh, yeah, I poked around a bit, but not enough to really affect anything.
I had never opened a case before, was my first time seeing everything... So I was interested. I pulled one RAM stick out, put it back in. Then there was some ... plastic thing around my hard drive, wiggled that. Poked around, nothing serious...

And now it works.
Whatever, I'm not complaining. ^^

My guess is that the RAM stick wasn't seated properly, and you fixed it

Bleh, I'm back - With a different problem.
Everything was fine when I turned it back on. I know for a fact there was sound because I played a little CS:S once it started working again.

... But now there's no sound. I've tried unplugging/replugging, rebooting, reinstalling directx(someone said that might help?), and uh... Don't know what else to do!

Maybe I should poke the insides some more. >_>

When did you buy it? You could always call Best Buy... if you just bought it from them, I don't think they would charge. It's like buying a broken TV or something... if they do try to charge, yell at the guy you're talking to, ask for his name, and ask to talk to the manager.

If he has the balls to let you talk to the manager, chances are the manager will do it for free just to calm you down.
