if i could figure out a way to get my pc on the plane iw ouldnt even build this lol but i really want to go to quakecon and im guessing a 86gt will do me fine for games like css and quake, unreal tournament. i dont need a 88gt to do that although it would be pretty 1337 but agian it wouldnt fit into a small lan case

i could cut ram altogether and use my own sticks for that and maybe upgrade to a better powersupply with saved money or better card although a 86gt will be sufficient

why can't you just play Sega Game Gear and pretend you're at quakecon?

seems cheaper to me.

what about cutting corners on the ram? i could probably just get some ddr667 to save money since im not ocing and this is just a travel rig for lans or when i go to my friends house
if you're not OCing, I would go back to AMD lol, for the price, at the stock clocks, im pretty sure the AMD procs do better than the intels

oh, and for the love of god, get something better than an 8600gt, those things are awful

go for a 9600, or a 3850 256mb

ill order the case hdd motherboard and wait to see if 88gt fits in. if not ill probably go for a 9600gt but what if that doesnt fit? im pretty sure the 88gt will fit though because i saw a vid with a 88gts in one and there about the same size right?

ill reuse ram, cpu, vcard that should shave some money off

Quirt instaed of the 2160, I suggest you go with the 2180 and OC the fck outa it

I'm still leaning towards the 8800GS over the 8600GT tho. The 8800GS is $110 after MIR

Silverstone Sugo[/url]
Thermaltake 430W
G.Skill 2GB(2X1GB)
e2160
Gigabyte GA-G31M
EVGA 8600GT
Lite-On DVD Drive
WD 80GB Sata

$423.92 w/o shipping and MIR
$383.92 w/ MIR

This, IMO, is a really good solid build. Silverstone makes great, good looking and sturdy cases. Thermaltake PSU is much better than the $h!t one you get with your Apevia case. Gigabyte makes a really good G31 mobo... you could probably switch it out for a better one if you wish. Good luck
