I glad that helped. My friend just got one and he had the same prob. we lapped it and BAM!............Sweet!

I'm wondering if my PSU is up to the task. I get the random reboot/seize up @ 2.78. I bought the clearance Dynex Case w/500W PSU for $19.99 -- hard to beat a case for that price.
Wsail, that's a possibility. I'm not exactly sure of the quality of Dynex PSU's but from what I hear I would stay away from them. I took a look at your CPU-Z screenshots and everything looks great! What did your board max out on HTT? 278HTT is getting up there

Good luck

originally mine was stable too but the core slowly required more voltage till it died

its life is short past like 2.4 im afraid to say
it takes 1.5 to boot at stock now
luckily i have my toledo which is the ****
best 939 in my opinion ......well at least the lcbqe stepping

Almost 2800 from a Venny core, you must of got a rare good one! If it is one of the blessed Vennys you might get even more from it... those rare ones could hit 3000!
