Looks like Creative is using major rebates to try to salvage sales before they stop altogether.

If you read the rebate form, it turns out this sale is only on Newegg, which coincidentally has said it will suspend sale of Creative's products.

Let's see: The Elite Pro is $70 off, the Platinum Fatal1ty Champion is $50 off, the XtremeGamer Fatal1ty Professional is $50 off, the "Elite Pro Sound Card and HS-900 Headphone Bundle" is $50 off, and the Xtremegamer is $30 off.

No, what they'll do is release a new version of the old drivers that just looks a little different, but doesn't do anything. That way they'll stem the bleeding long enough to get their bonuses.

I wish Auzentech would offer a better range of products (i'm only looking on newegg though, there may be more.) Then Creative would truly have competition if Auzentech didn't need to buy X-Fi from Creative...
