lol, lets go back to where you posted that others opinions are stupid. You always seem to be the first one to criticize anyone that doesn't agree with you regardless of whether they are right or wrong.

If someone says they like macs or they are thinking of buying a mac what are they told "are you stupid?" or "if your made of money then okay?" and yet they will boast there DELLs and GATEWAYs which all contain windows does that make you a windows fanboy since obviously I have both a macbook and windows vista...how does that make me a fanboy...continuing on the best example of this is...."the right click issue" wow is that blown out of proportion....I am doing just fine without it and usually I am more productive with my macbook's one click than with two clicks in vista. BUT its your decision what you like i like both you like windows only thats great I was stating my opinion and so were many others except some ppl have to come into it saying macbook sucks and no justification or anything of the sort. that just ticks me off if you say it back it up atleast give a story maybe a link or anything of the sort but nothing "MACs SUCK" does not prove anything just shows your ignorance

second of al I am not saying one way is better than the other I was stating my story adn my experience and the experiences of my friends and family with the Dell and Apple laptops. I dont have a problems with dells just more the fact that they dont have a store to just walk into to get what i want and also the fact that I had to go without a laptop for so long waiting for the replacement parts. there higher end stuff lasts forever I know my uncle has had his dell for over 3 years now. BUT it was my experience for example take the Q6600 processor GREAT OCer thats for sure and everything but not everyone has the same experience with it. Some ppl can OC it to 4.0 and some just to 3.6 and some not even to 2.8 its something they have to live with.

well moving on to price I really dont think they are over priced...the iphone and SOME ipods YES VERY overpriced...their laptops are pretty decent. I mean dell with the same exact configuration as the Appl sells the same laptop for about 2k I payed 1500 for the black MB with a case and some extra software not bad if I mayso my self and then they have the $100 off for being a student and then i got a $50 rebate for office because I bought it during summer and for college. coming out to b a total of $1350 oh then yes the 150 for the 2 year warranty with everything so its back up to 1500...I wanna see dell or your "precious" gateway give that much for that price I mean its a VERY competitive price and yes addons are VERY expensive from apple thats why you can "mod" the MB as well I uped my HD storage and my RAM w/o any problems pretty easily actually just take the battery out and 3 screws and you have acces to everything. and it weighs less than most DELLs and Gateways (this checked on the gateway website)

*EDIT*

hows the battery life on that "beast" and most ppl dont buy their laptops for gaming because they dont want to lug around a BRICK in their backpack in college
My laptop was 1250 on sale... It owns any macbook even stock. 8800mgts. It gets 3 hours on average use. My eepc gets a little more when overclocked thoug <>

Must be a michigan thing, cause I don't know how all these other people go to schools with hardly any macs. I go to MSU and I would say the majority of laptops I see are macs. I'm sure desktops is another story, but all I see in classes are macbooks

Ah, ah, let's read that again!

"Because lots of times, *Red's voice* your opinion is stupid, dumbass!"

"... lots of times ..." Opinions can very well be stupid. CAN is the keyword here. If someone says, "Macs suck because I don't like them," that's an opinion, right? Furthermore, is it not a STUPID opinion?

You might have been taught in high school that opinions are everything, and they are bulletproof and not to be questioned. But the fact of the matter is that if one cannot provide proof for and back up his own opinion, the opinion is worth NOTHING.

With that said: am I not allowed to question someone who agrees with me? Sure, I do like Macs. That isn't hard to see. But is it wrong for me to ask someone who said "Macs suck" why he or she said that? If they can answer reasonably, then I might consider and respect his opinion. If he's going to give me some "they don't play games" or "just because it's Apple" garbage, then I know that I don't want to listen to what he posts anymore, because his opinion is STUPID.

You see?

MacBooks get 4-5 hours of battery life. That's with wireless on, and brightness at half. I find that to be more important in a laptop than a 8800 graphic card.

Of course that's what's important to me. Only here stating my opinion as just that - an opinion

I would buy a Macbook over a normal laptop almost any day, Then I would reformat it and put Vista on it. Apple makes some good (a little over priced) PCs but there OS sucks fat balls.

Wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose of buying a Mac? The hardware is generally almost identical, yet costs more (you even state this yourself) when stamped with the Mac logo and loaded with OSX (or whatever they're using).... so that seems kind of self defeating.

why does it suck? most programs are made for both OSs now and usually works just as good. but I would like to know the reasoning behind your opinion.
