BTW looking at the Apple site, the software that people actually want is extra $$.
With my MacBook at hand, the software the I needed came with it. And yes, it was the software I actually wanted.

I'm just responding to your assumption that it would be crazy to pay more for a laptop just for the case. First, you added the OS comment, don't pretend you didn't edit your post, it originally just said I must be kidding to think someone would pay more just for the case. But even your addition assumes the person doing this doesn't already have a copy of whatever OS they want to use, or don't plan to "obtain one. " If they do, that rules out paying more for the OS. And as far as other nice laptops, most of the really nice looking ones cost as much as the apples (sony is a great example, nothing special about them but some of them look nice so people buy them for far more than they are worth).

I didn't say I would do this, in fact I specifically said I would not because they are just too expensive. But it is not unthinkable that someone might buy a mac and ditch the OS, not at all.

I am not too sure why I need to calm down. Here I thought I was just sitting here eating and browsing the internet, but apparently I am flying off the handle. Who knew??!

You're over analyzing this and making convoluted remarks. Listen, if you really like the case so much that you really want to go out and buy a Mac and Vista OS (and I "added the OS comment" because that's what I was originally responding to), then go right ahead. Whatever floats your boat. I just think it's a little silly, IMO

And the reason I said "settle down", was because you were using multiple ?'s and ! and swearing.

I don't want to turn this into a "Mac vs. PC" thread or something similar. We already have too many of those. A lot of them end up getting deleted anyway, lol.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. We already know you disagree. Don't try to cram it down my throat, please.

Yea, thats worth less than 800$ in a pc lawl, I dont care what you like, and my laptop isnt for cod4 nub, its for everything. Try that on a crapbook. My 400$ eeepc does anything "homework" related EXTREMELY fast.

Not really, the Macbooks that I have played around with are built much stronger than a lot of laptop. And they have nice cooling systems that keep noise down. Their sleek looks and mono tone color schemes are also something that I like. They are overpriced and in some cases buy 500$ or more but if you look hard for a good deal then you can find one that is maybe only 100$ more than a laptop of the same hardware specs.

*EDIT* sorry about double post
I probably should not have used the word "SUCKES" as this is only my opinion of the OS. I my self find it kind of hard to use, the need to buy software that is made just for the MAC OS is a problem also. Where as with Ubuntu or something you can just download software to make Windows based apps run in Linux and you get all the fancy looks and "NON" windows environment but with no price tag at all. I know you can run windows programs on a MAC but why pay the 130$ price tag for the OS + the price of updates when Linux is free and just as good and I find that the Windows emulators of Linux are a little easer to use than the ones for MAC.

I hav eot add that I agree with omaryunus, you people are really overinflating the cost of the macbooks compared to other laptops. Right off the bat comparing them to companies that make flashy PCs you are almost looking at the same price as is (again I have to go with sony, I see alot of them on campus too, and they are so overpriced).

Second, I know apple gives people are my school a decent college discount, which really eliminates a lot of the cost difference. Instead of looking at $500, it is more like a $100-$200 difference. And when little Suzy sorority girl goes into our apple store with daddy's credit card and sees that cute little apple sitting there that goes so well with her new backpack, that extra cost means nothing. I know this for a FACT, I have seen a million people do it and sadly have hung out with quite a few of them. In fact 2 days ago my friend's dad just bought her a new macbook, which she likes because its "cute." I don't know what world you all live in that people don't buy laptops for looks, but it sure isn't the same world I am living in I guess

And now you are calling me a "nub".

Whatever, and to let you know, my MacBook isn't new. Thats why the specs aren't amazing.

I didn't think I was swearing, but if I did it was a force of habit!! But the multiple punctuation thing I always do. People always make fun of me for it on forums, I have come to look at it as my thing. Don't worry, I am not upset when I do it, I just type like that!!

I guess I can see where people that don't know me might get confused about that though My bad
