My DDC2 was a freebee from a shop that got it back under RMA, not a single thing wrong with it. The guy that RMA'd that one probably found out after the second pump that it was something else. You're doing it the right way..

hummmm... something should cross my mind now, I cut the damn cables to make it shorter and sleeved them, will this avoid the warranty?

Yeah it might Made...Are you sure the hot and ground wire are insulated well from each other on them? If you are getting a little current cross flow on them that might be your problem right there......

EDIT: Make sure you have don't have the 12v and 5v lines mixed up, your pump problem does sound kind of like low voltage....

yeah im worried about that...

just one more thing to add.. can you guys tell me how hot your d5's get?

I could fell a little heat, and after a little longer that I left the pumps running I also could fell the tubbing warm.

So I took a card reader out of my case which has fan controller and temp's meter... so I stick one temp sensor to the outside of the pump and one into the tline...

outside: 40c

inside the t line: 45.8c

im gonna give then a call tomorrow probably... and see what they can do.

Thanks, made.

Oh.. and about the power issue I have checked them before, and i just did again to make sure I even tested them with out the molex to make sure they are making a good contact...

but u know... =/

I was hoping it would be something that simple...I don't have a D-5, I've had a D-4 before and they were pretty warm...If you don't have the fans running on the rad and you have your pump running, the pump will heat your loop up, so some of that heat may be from that...

I havn't measured my D5 temps, but they are warm to the touch. Those numbers sounds reasonable. The DDC's actually get much hotter on the base than the D5's do.

My D5 gets warm too. When leak testing the loop has gotten pretty hot without fans.
WC ftw!
