I need a cheap lappy

Yep thats basically it. My girlfriend's mom wants a lappy she can take to work with her and she only wants to pay a few hundred for it. Preferably a used one to save some money. The only thing this woman ever does on her desktop computer is play litlle flash games on pogo.com so obviously she doesn't need anything great. She's asking me to find her a good one since I'm the only person she has that knows anything about computers but unfortunately all my knowledge involves desktops. I don't know **** about lappy's. Price range is probably around 250-300...I know thats not much but like I said she plays pogo she doesn't need anything great. If anyone can point me in the right direction or at least provide a lil info as to what I should even be lookin for in this price range I would really appreciate it. If anyone has a lappy they're trying to sell in that price range that would be even better Thanks guys.

What about that Asus EEE? Check it out. And here's the "learn more about Eee PC" page.

I think it's "hdd", which they're calling a "solid state hdd" must basically be a flash drive, because the most common size I'm seeing is 2GB. Besides, they're calling this thing shock-proof (or rather, they claim this thing is almost indestructable).

asus ee arent very good laptops. there not very exspandable. i would suggest a dell d600 for only 350 bucks. it comes with a 15.4 inch screen a dvd/cdrw and it has a radion 9000 in it to. very good laptop. the battery last you about 3hrs and 30 mins for the type of stuff she being doing if you buy a new batter for 50 bucks off ebay. i just bought another one.

So, I think the ASUS Eee PC is perfect for her. Anything more than that sounds like it would be overkill. And she doesn't sound like she's very computer-friendly (yeah, I meant to say "computer-friendly". It means I think a computer would run away from her if it could), so this thing would not only be perfect for her, but it would be very easy for her to operate.

And y'know, if she seriously only plays that game and maybe does e-mail and nothing else, then even the Eee PC might be a little overkill for her.

You're welcome, Puscifer.

Edit: I also noticed that they have 4GB versions available too (and I saw a site verifying that it does use a flash drive which they're calling a "solid state hard drive").
