I'm pretty sure I made it clear a while back that all of these psus are big steaming piles of you know what. I'm just trying to work with what I've got and get by for a couple weeks. If he keeps the loads low he should be able to survive until then.

Hi guys, just a little update
Well that DEER's days are numbered, i'm likely to have some cash this week for a decent power supply, wish me luck(got a shipment of USB flash drives for a little business and some other stuff are for sale and got a few guys interested)

EDIT: as for the load of the PSU, I can't say exactly that it is good since I don't have a multimeter or anything to test it , but the PSU itself is not warm, I assume that's the good sign, again(said it in other posts b4), Canadian Winter(i know it's april but it's still cold) + Custom PC = Winning lol

Then why are they calling this PSU a BTX? (it's the only one NewEgg sells for some reason)

Even though I've been here since February 11th, I still don't know. It seems like I can't get a straight answer. But from what I'm seeing, you're better off with avoiding the Deer PSU.

Check this out: I was helping my friend look for something in his room a few years ago, and I came across a 250W PSU. He saw the way I looked at it and told me I could take it. It turned out to be dead. Guess what brand it is. Yeah, it's a Deer.

I know it's up to you, but if it were me, I'd go with the Titan Power as the interim PSU just from all these comments about avoiding Deer PSU's.
