[Toms's Guide] Apple Considered World's best brand! - Page 10

I can't stand their arrogant, "I'm better than you because I have a mac" ad campaigns.

Enough said.

Enough said about what? Your inability to understand how ads truly work.

Apple is a business, they need to sell there product, this ad campaign has worked for them so there is no reason for them to stop it.

He has the right to not like Apple for their ads if he wants. That's his opinion. He can't be right or wrong about it.

You don't have to agree, but it's certainly nothing to argue over; there's just nothing to go back and forth about. It's like getting stuck in an infinite loop; you both just run run run until you burn out.

PS: Why aren't you in school?

You likely typed in "PROMOCODE " instead of "PROMOCODE". I often accidentally add a space at the end of the promo code (because I copy and paste), and then it does not work.

Get with the program. If you want to be cute like that and avoid the main point, I don't want to talk with you.

I can go on all day, man, I really can. I'm the energizer bunny. If you need a break, go out and take one. But seriously, when I know I'm right, I won't stop lol

I'm not reading you. Do you mean the quality, or lower specs? eg: ECS vs Asus, or 2.5GHz vs 2.0GHz?

And either way, I answered your question in my previous post. It's all about personal preference. Some people like OSX, others would prefer something else.

Did you know not everyone likes chocolate?

===================
On another note:

I just compared a ThinkPad R61e to match the MacBook $1300 model. Here's what I found:

I don't know what's up with all of Lenovo's 'price cuts' (every little component had a strikeout on the price, then a lower price under it), but that's a damn good price.

MSRP would have been $8 more than the MB, but at the "sale price", it's like $320 cheaper. I think that's great. I don't know about what adware it comes with, though, or if it comes with a remote or has anything like the MagSafe power adapter. Nonetheless, I think that's a fine laptop at a great price.

If I didn't prefer OSX, that would probably have been my laptop.
Lenovo keeps the same price from launch and just adds massive sales. They never reduce the price of a product... Just big sales. That is your "normal" price. Thinkpads don't come with bloat ware either.

I'm fine with him not liking the ads. I'm just saying that the ads work so apple has no reason to stop showing them.

Guess I phrased my other post wrong.

Wait, so which was the "launch" price? The $1308 or the ~$950?

And they don't come with ANY bloat/crap/adware? You mean it's just as if I bought my own OEM windows from Newegg?

Edit: that can't be right... My friend has a Lenovo, and he's got all kinds of "antivirus" and "Lenovo battery meter utility" and like 3-5 "trackpad" processes running...

Either way, I think it's a good deal. Definitely better than the dells and HPs whose quality is questionable anyway.

Lenovo's come with the ThinkCenter software. I always uninstall it on my Thinkpads, but I don't classify it as bloatware. People pay for that software from IBM...

Yeah, I just checked out my friend's Thinkpad (like 1 minute ago). The only thing it came pre-installed with was the ThinkCenter you described and AV. Nothing I can see is there for advertisement and bloat.

I like Mac's. I like the bundled software that comes with it. I want a Mac mini.
