Besides, Larrabee and S3 are both able to jump in if prices go up.
That's because there are other major telecomms. companies. AMD and Nvidia are the only two actual video card companies.

How's that Bear Stearns buyout going? Damned fed.

This could be a good time to buy AMD's stocks! Either way its a win, if Nvidia buys AMD, they will offer higher price per stock then its on the market, or if it wont buy it, AMD's stocks will increase, therefore if you got a spare million $, invest in AMD!

i really think the amount of debt wouldnt be worth it for nvidia, like how a banking company bought out another company that was accross the street as a "penny stock" but risk getting sued. i would invest in amd, but how i see it, it's intel that will be the future as everything will start to go mobile and lighter, faster etc.

I think Nvidia purchasing AMD could be a good deal. Just because they buy AMD does not mean that selling ATI off to another company like IBM does not happen. I have been reading that nvidia is trying to get an x86 license and this could be their door into that market.

NVIDIA could just as easily buy only the x86/x64 processor portion of the AMD/ATI merger and leave ATI to purchased by another company or left to run by the current management at this time. It appears that ATI has some promising cards coming out soon.
