If you won't mind MIR, get the Abit IP35-E. P31/P35 belongs to Intel Barelake chipset but a P35 board at $60. It is a good deal.

Not a chance it will power it... Are you going to overclock it? If you're not I would say AMD for lower end processors cause they seam to be cheaper with more boom... Higher clock, higher FSB.
