help with my build

Thread Starter
Hello. I want to know what everyone thinks of my build. i have purchased most of the parts except a water cooling system. I would like to know if this system will work for what i have, or do i need anything else.

My system:
Coolmaster Cosmos 1000 case
q6600 OC'ed to 3.4ghz (g0 step)
EVGA 780i SLi MB
2 x 8800 gt (stock, will OC) SLi
2x 320 gb HD @ 7200 rpm
4gb DDR2 G Skill PC2 6400, at Cas 4, 4-4-4-12 @ 2.0v (may OC as well)
Antec 600 Watt PS

I want the CPU and GPU water cooled at the minimum, if i can go father i will. What is a good water cooling block for the 8800 gt's?

The Water cooling system i am looking at is Zalman Reserator XT. Is this good? Should i make any changes?

Thank you.

my only concern with your build is the 600 watt antec PSU

I am unfamiliar with the 600 watt versions, so i suggest you make sure it has enough amp to support both GPU's.

I use the 650 watt and it works great.

this might work for you...

now about the water-cooling system, most people here will tell you that will be a lot better if you pick your own parts than buy some pre built kit....

do you got a budge?

i took a look at that website earlier before posting and it said (although i think it was too low of a score) I only needed 425 Watt PSU. i think that is BS, so i assumed 600 would suffice.

I do and I dont have a budget. I am buying something every few weeks, so if it is drastically better to buy piece by piece and it may cost a little more, i will do that and wait a few weeks between each part.

if you were to recommend any individual parts, which would they be?

Thanks

that website gives you a estimate of how much you will be using, and its aways better to get a psu that can handle at least a bit more... a little overkill its always good =]...

if you want to cool:

cpu: most people will recommend for you a D-tek fuzion wb.
http://www.jab-tech.com/D-tek-FuZion...ck-pr-3667.htm

gpu: its two way u can do it, full block: which will cover all you block and a wb + heatsink: which you have a water block just for the gpu and heatsink for memory's.

pump: Swiftech MCP655 - D5
http://www.petrastechshop.com/swmcin12pu.html

and probably a http://www.petrastechshop.com/thpara2.html or a 480gtx

the guys here will give u a better answer than me... but here are some parts that u can start looking up...

you still needs some:

fans, tubbing, clamps or zip ties, reservoir, shroud?....

and also some websites:
