They were in stock earlier today, although at $199 I'm not surprised they were bought out almost instantly. Out of Stock now. Tankguys is a great place to buy. Microcenter used to have them for $199 online too.
Thats OEM , if your going to be paying over $180 for a processor it should at least be brand new in the box retail.

Retail was 250 plus shipping, I could not afford that D:

I was happy to have OEM for 209, even though I remember being told the MSRP for the E8400 was around 183 or something like that. Oh how supply and demand changes things.

They are running a buisness which ALOT of these pc parts are significantly cheaper then their other competitors. If you were running a buisness like they were, you would as well, raise the price because of supply and demand.

btw ramenmeal and Arjy, welcome to the OCN forums

LOL I personally decided to boycott newegg after today's events until they come back to their senses.

I was waiting on the 9800gtx reviews to see if I wanted that or an 8800 gts 512.
Decided after todays reviews that I wanted the GTS and much to my surprise the EVGA 8800gts 512MB card that came with Crysis for $240 two days ago was now $270 (after rebates) with NO CRYSIS.

Hmm so I guess waiting 2 days causes you to have to pay $30 more and not get a game with it. GG newegg. I'll be looking at zippy or tiger to see if they do any better or I'll just wait until I can get my E8500 for prices to drop on the Video Cards since I can't run a system without my processor anyway I have some time.
