any large corporation would mislead the cosumer for financial gain. but only if they think they can get away with it.

Creative tried and got caught. entirely thier own fault for ordering daniel to stop in the first place.

I'll never buy another creative soundcard again, enless over the years they drasically change, which may just be unlikely...

With any luck, Creative will be pushed off the soundcard market for good..this puplic screw up has paved the road for Auzentech and other companies to follow. and i'm sure whoever takes the lead again, will also make a similar mistake, crash and fall. power/money corrupts.

Creative make some quality speakers & headsets though....

My friend's Creative speakers failed within a month, my Creative headset got broken on the first time I put it on my head (it works, but the plastic is broken). Speaking about quality, Creative sucks, my head is awesome, I can break other people's bones with it too, I have done so once... now that's quality

lol, thats kinda funny . does that logic also mean that other people's bones suck too? .

what speaker/headsets?.

I use a Fatal1ty headset. very good sound quality and very comfortable. i also use a 5 speaker setup. all of which are entirely Creative Gigawork speakers (T40's front, T20's rear, T10's center) and ive not had any problems at all. been like this sinse the T40's release.

the downside for having this setup is having no more plug sockets left. but having awsome sound is all that matters.

Creative HN-700, that's around $50. IDK about the friend's speakers though.

I dont think that Creatvie is going anywhere anytime soon. If Im not mistaken the largest maker of dedicated sound cards in the market. If this is true its goiing to take more than this to make them go bye bye.

I remember when the X-fi were first released. They had some issues with static and Creative blamed the nF4 chipset (the common enthusiast one at the time). Then Core 2 launched and the same issue occurred on Intel chipsets (the new enthusiast one). Then Creative was like... "Oh, it is a PCI issue." It only took them a 1.5 years to get that issue fixed... for the most part. The driver developer took 2+ years to fix a common issue (I am pretty sure it would have been noticed in QA before release.)
Once again...

Oh well, I am glad you reminded me how insignificant you and I are, I guess I will just forgive and forget.

This would be true if Creative were a healthy company. Now, the fact is they're FAR from healthy. Any company that needs to sell it's real estate and lease it back is in major problems financially.
