External HDD to Internal HDD (IDE/USB)

Start By Taking Apart Your External Hard Drive Like So:

Ooooooo! IDE to USB conector, We'll need that later:

Put brackets on your hard drive (If you have them):

Remove a PCI slot filler to put wires through:

Put the USB and Power wire through the slot:

Put the hard drive in (Of Course):

Plug in the IDE to USB connector:

Insert the IDE to USB connector in a bag to prevent short circuiting and plug in the USB And Power wire:

Close your case (But first make sure the USB AND POWER WIRES ARE PLUGGED IN!!!!!:

Turn on your computer and it should work!
In my case the hard drive shows up as My Book:

PS: I just did this to save room on my desk....and have a little fun (If thats what you call fun), there really is no other reason.

You could've also just hooked it up with the IDE cable.

yea, what is the reason you did IDE/usb? You dont have any IDE spots left?

PS. Putting that ide/usb connector in a plastic bag- probably not a good idea. You would probably rather use electrical tape around it so that it doesn't short.
