Best Thermalpaste? - Page 2

The differences are actually much less than 1°C. The "review" sites, while they do try their very best to rule out inconsistencies and erroneous data, still have a long way to go to really iron out their testing methodologies. Do they apply the paste several times and take an average? Do they follow the manufacturer's recommendations to the T? Do they use temperature controlled rooms to take ambient temperatures out of the equation? I think they use the same CPU for all tests, and I hope they use the same cooler as well. But really the best thermal paste is the one that works best for you, and if you've had success with AS5, keep using it. No sense in fixing what isn't broken.

CLP is the best with shin estu a very close second. There are several different shin-estu pastes, not all are good, and I'm not sure which of them is the best.
