Despite my decision to stop spending money on my computer I went for it. I HAD to! I've been looking at this card off and on for months but couldn't justify the $150 price tag. $50 I can justify

For $50, it is. Any higher and it's robbery.

As for the comparison to the X-Fi series, I heard it wasn't as good. If you want the full effect of the sound card, you need the headset too. Doesn't mean it'll sound crappy but a lot of ppl said that the X-Fi sounds better for any other headphones/heatsets and speaker setups.

Incorrect. Music-wise, the CMI8788 Oxygen HD APU is superior to X-Fi's EMU APU. And it is a far step ahead of integrated sound. Plus, it'll actually work in Vista unlike X-Fi.

Awesome!

Never ordered from Woot before. How does it work? It says they look at the order and ship out within 5 days. Is this some sort of outlet or something? If the transaction clears are you guaranteed the product?
