Getting my comp up to snuff

Ok, I jut bought an Acer 5630-U5202A.

E4500 2.20 Ghz
3 GB ram
500 GB Sata hard disc
DVD-+RW
ATIRadeonHD2400Pro

Everything is stock.

What do I need to do to get this machine to play most modern games? I'm thinking of getting a Nvidia 88ooGT, but that requires a new Power source, I think. Plus, I would like to OC the E4500, bump it at least to 3 Ghz, which means a heatsink. What do you guys think would be the best way to go to get this thing going, which parts, and where to get them?

We need to know what Mobo and what kind of RAM it is...

3GB is a bit odd and so is the processor.

At least you have a lot of hard drive space

Not only does it need a new heatsink, it needs a new power suppy, video card and a motherboard.

That Acer motherboard has no overclocking options in its BIOS.
That's not 100% true, you could still overclock the processor. Just use a BSEL mod! But yeah there's absolutely no overclocking options in BIOS on an OEM board.

Also if you're going to upgrade the video card you WILL need a better PSU as well.

Good luck!

This goes against my moral fibre as an overclocker, but a 500W PSU and an HD 3850 512 will have you running everything but crysis on high/max even running a 2.2, thats all you need to get running the latest games.
