Haha, even my tech-illiterate friends know to use Firefox instead of IE...

I prefer Opera for the Presto image rendering engine and it's overall speed. The one thing I miss from Firefox is the ability to completely customize it and make it "your own" browser so to speak. Opera is a great browser though, and as far as compatibility issues, Opera has an option that allows you to mask it as IE7 or Firefox if the website doesn't support Opera. Even FF with the FasterFox addon installed can't compare to the quickness of Opera in my opinion.

Pretty much everyone I know has Firefox, however the occasional few have IE, and the ones who know nothing about computers like my gf.

Gotta be getting close to the point of when people start exploiting it alongside IE

Using Firefox is another easy way of becoming a computer nerd. Use Firefox, and you stepped up a level in your nerdyness. Personally I use Firefox because I like the GUI, however it is a memory hog.
