E6750 4ghz stable@1.68vcore

Thread Starter
Hi,

I can run 4ghz stable at 1.68vcore with vdroop this is 1.63/1.64 vcore. Would this be a safe choice xD ? Im guessing no..

Temps are at 55-60 at full orthos load. I know E6750's get f*cked up fast after 1.48750vcore ( without vdroop ). Wonder how long it will take before it does blow out at 1,68vcore purrr. Anyone have any clue on that ?

Thanks!

Dude drop that vcore like now unless you want it to blow on you.
Give it about 2 days till it blows. you probably already screwed it I'll give you a month or 2 before you make a post saying why did my cpu blow OMG BBQ SAUCE

I'd bank on killing that chip fairly soon simply because of the extreme amount of juice flowing through it even though your temperature is well in check.

*makes mental note of MovieM, incase an E6750 shows up for an impressively good price in the for sale section......*

I would drop that way down.

1.5-1.55 is around the max you would want to run.

Like Xx573v3xX_Z28 vividly puts it you are gonna blow it soon man (haha BBQ SAUCE..man you are funny )! You have to go below 1.49 ...you can get carried away with these w/c setups sometimes.

hmmz i might try that insanely high Voltage when i`m home
still searching for a voltage that stabelizes my E6750 @ 4Ghz. so far it stops if i set it between 1.5625 and 1,58-something.
see if i can make it a bench setting
yeah i know it`s WAY too high...but i`m doing it for that sweet "4" when i fire up my pc
plus the fact i`m edmark addicted lol
i`ll do anything for a higher score (except buying new stuff )

That Vcore is ok for a half hour of benchmarking or so, but you want to be around 1.5v or less for 24/7 usage.

Thats fine for benching, but even I would be shady about running more than 1.55 on water, for a 65nm. I pump 1.48-1.52vcore to my e6700 to keep it ~3.75ghz for f@h use.. it has been running over a 1.46vcore for a little over 2years now... no issues or signs of degradation.

*Stressing the core with that clock speed is going to slowly do more damage than that vcore. You will start running into stability issues if you leave your pc at its current speed.. maybe not today..but it will happen. You should be able to lower your vcore to something more suitable [say ~1.52v] to run 3.8ghz.

-> Nice temps btw.
