Frozen system I give up - Page 3

PS is a pc&p 610
no BSOD just a solid freeze that cripples the system
i will look at the event log due to frustration i end up cursing the system more than actually doing anything productive.
it boots into safe mode with issues sometimes
I need to get memtest if it stays normal so i can run the test

i will be home in 3 hours then ill begin the long troubleshooting process.

On a side note i have onboard audio enabled as well as my auzentech i use 2 sound sources onboard for ventrilo through a headset and the auzentech for blistering 7.1 surround sound could maybe that be the possible conflict

i think disabling the onboard would be a great start

Have you ever had it lock up before a windows boot? Like in the bios or something? If so then you might be going back to a heat problem or something of the sort.

initially it never locks during bios bootup when it freezes and i restart the system i can lock several times on the very first screen then it locks up at windows start up till finally it decides to boot up to the desktop. sometimes it takes like 10 restarts in order to reach the desktop again.
