They'll send you what they have in stock. Plain and simple.

Now get back on the phone with them and tell them they sent you the wrong stuff. The squeaky wheel gets the grease and all that jazz. Who knows? You may get what you want.

You can tell them but that doesn't mean they'll do it, that doesn't mean they have bad RMA service.

well i just called crucial they told me we can't send you double side module anymore, but sad thing is when i called them like 2 weeks ago they had double side sticks in stick and crucial promised me they are going to send me double side. The representative keeping saying all the ram module are single side in there stock right now. after that i was really pissed i said can i talk with the manager after waiting for 10 min finally manager picks up the phone he said we are sorry for this issue currently u're having but we only have single side ram module in stocks right now. i ask him when u going to have double side ram in ur stock?manager said we stop manufacturing double sides sorry we can't send u double side module.

well this suks big time.

Why would they keep manufacturing it if they can use the single sided for 1gig sticks and double for two gig sticks.

ANyways at the OP it isnt that there rma sucks, you had a product fail and you got a replacement. Thats pretty good if you ask me.

mm they have to replace ram module no matter what u do them. Crucial has LIFE TIME WARRANTY, well crucial supposed to have best customer service thats why i purchased crucial in first place. the new sticks pretty bad can't even do 4-4-4-12 timing at 950mhz.

You get whatever they have in their RMA inventory. I've read lately many returns of dead dbl-sided sticks, and they all get back sgl-sided. There may be some truth what the super told you, that they are no longer manufacturing dbl-sided sticks.

I dont get about the Life time warranty. What if ur ram burn after 12 years and lets say you still have the same PC with DDR2 and buy 2020 ther is DDR9 what will they do?

go call crucial or chat online they will say

Tiffanie : We are phasing out the 16-chip modules for the 8-chip.
Tiffanie : Thus, we only have the 8 chip modules for sell.
Tiffanie : There maybe a few resellers that have a few modules left that are 16-chipped.
Tiffanie : You may want to try TigerDirect or Newegg.

i allready know newegg doesnt have single sides models .
