I received 10 items from NewEgg, and the packaging was perfect every single time. Each item was shipped UPS (a couple of the shipments had 2-3 things in it). I also ordered one OEM hdd, and one OEM dvd writer. I ordered them separately, and they both arrived with perfect packing.
My only complaints have nothing to do with NewEgg. It was my timing: the air was extremely dry, and so I had to use a spray bottle to mist water on the packing peanuts to keep them from sticking to everything. I ended up misting everything to kill all of the static. I wasn't worried about getting my stuff wet because it was wrapped so well in bubble wrap.
But I believe all of my stuff was packed by employees who care about the customer who's going to be opening it. Every once in a while, when you're doing business with companies, you're going to be served by an employee who doesn't care one iota about the company's customers, and all they want is their paycheck. So, you get horrible service, and unfortunately, you end up thinking the whole company is the same way.
I should know: I've worked next to many people who should never have been hired in the first place. But these idiots lie to get hired, and then they ruin the company's reputation for any customers they serve.
Don't let this one experience get you down. You know that you're better than that.
