What F@H client should I use?

I am very confused with these different F@H clients. As I understand it the SMP is for use with Dual Core and Quad Core systems. I have a Q6600, but I am running Vista 64. I have tried the SMP client but it will not connect to my computer. I think because it is not for 64 bit Windows, right?

So what should I use? I want to have one instance running on one core at all times (Maybe two cores, two instances?) but then when I am away or at night I want to use all four cores.

So what is my best option? I think I read that they are working on an SMP for 64 bit Windows but how long will that take? Should I just run multiple clients and set affinity to each core? That would be a PITA to manage.

You need to run SMP. SMP can't connect because you didn't run install.bat. It will ask you for your windows login and password (you MUST have a password on your windows account) because it is needed for mpiexec.

Use SMP 5.91. Either DISABLE UAC or install F@H into your User directory. You can disable UAC (the annoying "security" features of Vista by click on Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>User Accounts>Turn User Account Control On or Off)

Ok I will try again. Thanks for the quick replies!

Ok I'm dumb. I think I have it working now. I was adding my F@H sign in name and not my PC log-on name.
