Just finished lapping and installing my T.R.U.E. Im happy, lowered load temps by 4c. My q6600 runs hot, but now Im within my under 65 feel safe zone :-)

also the arctic freezer 7 worked very well for me..

The tuniq tower is an excellent cooler also. You still might have a hard time with temps now depending on your ambient temps. Texas is just starting to get hot isn't it?

A lapped TRUE is the best air cooler on the market atm. The next safest bet is a Tuniq Tower 120. They are both very easy to install (you have to remove the MB), and you will be happy with either.

3.4Ghz is safe to assume w/ a TT120
3.6Ghz with a TRUE.

Both need good air circulation to function at their highest level.

Take your pick of the high end coolers already mentioned. With the E6600 it's more about the week of the processor more than the cooler itself. Some E6600's just won't get to 3.6GHz no matter how hard you try or how cool you keep it.
