Depends on budget...the 8800GTS are under $200, the 8800GTS around $250. If you planned on a big more cost no object system NOW...then the 9800GTX2 in a 3xSLI could be done. Not quite sure for want end though...it would be very unique use to get the advantage.

For an Intel chipset, the GTX2 lets you have SLI in a mobo that doesn't support it. Check.

And for $120 more, it may be cooler than two 8800GTs. Performance would depend on what OC you could get on the 8800s. People OC them alot. Haven't heard as much about GTX2 OCing.

If you are going to get a full coverage block, the single block would reduce your WC costs a bit to compensate for the extra board cost.
