Rocketfish or CM690 - Page 3

I have both. The rocketfish has tons of potential, but it's sort of a "blank slate" kind of modding case. The 690 can be modded to taste without much skill or fear of screwing it up. The side panels on the 690 are flimsy and not well made. The rocketfish side panels weigh half as much and are twice as strong with a greater surface area(I actually tested this by putting weight in the center of them). I will admit, though, that the 690 is a quieter build stock. With 6 120mm fans running full speed it was as quiet as the rocketfish with 3 fans running full speed. This I'm sure can be fixed with some silencing mods (that I plan to do), but that is just the way the lian li was designed at stock. It's the little things that make the rocketfish case (call it a a70 or whatever all you want, it's missing a lot of internal features, if anything you could call it a pc-a7* shell) a better enthusiast's case. Build quality being the primary plus.

The rocketfish is pretty much for mad modders only. Putting your junk in there without modding it is really pointless.

Cut that b**** up.

the quality of the rocketfish is pretty good what do you expect its a lian li slapped w/ a rocketfish logo. but for me the look is so generic and i hate cases w/ doors. but the insides looks very nice.
If you have the skills to mod cases then this is a good starting point.

In regards to the 690 its cheap for the price esp when you can get it for $15 after MIR before. Great for budget builders and first time modders. looks good too.
