OCing e3110 and DFI LP DK X38

First I would like to say that this combo is amazing. I installed it, turned the FSB up to 400 and bam 3.6GHz at like 1.12V. I had to tweak the Ram setting the the manufacturer specs but meh.

My question is this. Wanna break 4GHz. I've looked around at many OC specs but the boards are different and the names for things are way off. The e3110 is a 746a so I figure I have a good but of head room.

Since its a Xeon I figure I should start at 1.28Vcore since it starts out a lot lower than the e8400. Giving me an identical chip to what other folks are OCing at.

Let me know what ya think.

go right for 4.5ghz IMO put the max vcore you feel comfy with and see if it will boot at 4.5ghz if not lower it a little at a time til its stable

LOL well I am running water on it. nice and chilly. 1.4v wouldn't cause me any problems at all. I think that would be the max volt I would be okay with.

How far should I bump up the NB for the just to 445-450?

shouldnt need to much for only a 450fsb

Well its up to 445 without any problems. had to losten the timing on the ram from 5-4-4-15 to 5-5-5-15. The ram never really worked well at 5-4-4. Its only at 890Mhz but at 2.1v on my 790fx board I was able to get the ram upto 950 on 5-5-5. I'll try to up is some more later. :-)
