Q6600 go voltage

Thread Starter
Ok i'll start from the problem. I'm not overclocking or rather I can't. everytime I change anything in bios and save the rig reboots and I only get a black screen everthing is on but no info. I have to clear cmos and reboot upon reboot it says please recover bios in set up then F1 for set up F2 to load defaults. If I press F2 everthing loads fine if I do anything in bios then I have to reset cmos erasing it to log in windows. I have flashed bios many times and i'm running the latest version. Ounce i'm in windows everything works perfectly but I can't overclock b/c I can't changing anything in Bios. I'm thinking may be the default cpu voltage is to high. fo rmy cpu what should the best stock voltage be or any other suggestions to the problem would be appriciated thanks in advance.

Your bios is probably saving, but the overclock is probably not set up right .Start out with this 333fsbx9,vcore 1.4.Turn off speedstep,c1e,and eist.Get cpuz also it will show you actual voltage and speed while in windows.hey I grew up in vegas ,clark high school.Decatur and sahara area

Check and make sure your RAM timings and voltages are set right too.

You cant unlink the memory. That is only with NVIDIA chipsets.

What northbridge strap are you using in bios? I find that 333 is buggy. I set it to 400 for stability.
