Hey,

Is there a way that I can change the blue LED's in my zalman 9700 led to red LED's?

Thanks

Disassemble the fan itself, and solder in new led's. Otherwise not that I know of.

You will need to strip the fan from its frame, then remove the rotor, to solder a new led, it could be easier to tap into the 12v feed and add a red LED extra to give you purple?

I want to add, that there was someone in a far away land who had mod'ed a zalman 9500 with a standard fan(92mm) by cutting away all the fan shroud, then carefully adding screw holes in the same way the zalman fans are. I don't know his success, but that might allow you to get a red fan on it. You could also try to modify the bracket that holds on fan. You can also buy spare parts to test this at www.sharkacomputers.com The zalman 9700 uses a 110mm fan, that will be a limit as well. If you were willing to have the fan mounted outside the zalman fins you could try to mod the bracket to hold a 120mm fan. I wanted long ago to change the color of mine and well it was massive work.
