new build need help powering it up

ok so i put everything together powered up no beeps and no display tried reapply paste still nothing, tried using a diff gfx card same thing, tried using a diff mobo still same problem, i even used a different cpu and one stick of memory then another stick still nothing. could it be my psu how can i test out each part to figure out whats wrong

You could use a paperclip to jump your PSU and see if it's working. Sounds like you tried just about everything else.

Do the power lights on th mobo come on? Could be a ground problem maybe? If you have a voltmeter i would try checking that you are getting power everywhere.

No I don't have a voltmeter and on one of the mobos the light turns on but on the other one I don't think there's a light that's supposed to turn on I don't remember cause im not home right now.

ok as stupid as this sounds (I've done it though) did you make sure the board isn't shorting itself out on the case. Make sure the standoff and screws are touching the shields.

Make sure all connectors to the board are connected. Clear CMOS. Make sure everything is seated properly (RAM, video card, etc). As a last resort, I would try another power supply.

just about to mention that......the build before my current one had this exact problem 1 misplaced standoff stopped it from posting but everything else worked it had me at the point of RMA

wont make that mistake again !!!!!!
