Big ol 30inch advice

Thread Starter
The Dell 3008 looks good, has great specs, and has plenty of imputs but for 2000 bucks I dont see how anyone would shell out that kind of fortune. Any know of any screens in a similar size range with good features and a more normal price.

Apple Cinema display. And before anyway complains about the response time, its an 8 bit display. And its known that the majority of 8 bit displays have a longer response time than 6 bit, but its not noticeable.

For that much bloody money you could buy a 1080P HDTV. I bought my 32inch Sharp last weekend for only $1,100 and the 37inch is only like $300 more.

what was that 8bit/6bit fiasco apple got into? maybe it was just their lower displays

No a TV will be much different than and LCD monitor, any 30" will run at 2560x1600 and will be much sharper/crisper/clearer.

I really like the dell myself, but then again I'm not sure there's that many other 30" I know of.

Well there is the; Samsung SM-305T, NEC MultiSync® LCD3090WQXi, EIZO FlexScan SX3031W-BK, HP LP3065 and the Gateway XHD3000

but all of these do not have nearly as good of a range of inputs as the dell, and that is why i am considering buying one for mayself.
