E6750 2.66GHz 1333MHz OC

Thread Starter
Hi everyone

Just got myself a new processor today a Intel Core 2 duo E6750 2.66GHz 1333MHz. And i've read that it can be OC very nicely.

I was wondering going by my specs if anyone can help with what settings I need to change my BIOS to?

I don't need to boost it through the roof, just maybe a nice 3.0 - 3.2ghz

many thanks

Looks like the next upgrade in your future might be a P35 motherboard.

your current mobo is not going to be good enough to overclock that e6750

you need to upgrade to a good p35 mobo

Your board does not support 1333mhz CPUs. It is currently underclocking it, which is rubbish.

I would strongly recommed a P35. Then you can pretty much get 3.4-3.6 without too much difficulty.

If you can do anything with your board try:

400 FSB
8 x Multiplier
1.4 vcore

Up the Northbridge (MCH) by +0.1v and the FSB voltage by +0.1v

That will give you a nice 3.2ghz.

However, I think your motherboard will limit you severely.

GA-945GZM-S2 (Rev 3.0) can support up to FSB1066MHz by overclocking.
You might want to overclock it one step at a time. The chipset that the board has does not really support 1333mhz. That is why people are telling you that you might have to upgrade you board when you can. And what I got from your board website it doesn't really support the e6750.
