so here it is: my rams wont even start at 4.4.4.12 timings as the CL4 modules use.mine r 5.5.5.18 , 1.8v CL5 ... and the CL4 r 4.4.4.12 2.1v ... when i put them at the same settings my pc wont even boot not even with 2.3v from the stock 2.1 of the CL4... whats the problem?? i tought that this timing stuff is just marketing.... or is the advanced timings so important that if its not the EXACT same as the CL4 they wont boot?

Make sure you're running at 2T, and try the tighter timings with only one set of DIMMs installed.

Is that a 4x1Gb kit? If so the problem may be your NB. Although I noted this using 2x1Gb, when I tightened down the timings I had to increase my voltage at the MCH to make it stable. 4x1Gb puts more of a strain on your NB. Try raising your VMCH some and see if that helps.

If that is 2x 2x1Gb kits together, that may be the problem as they were not match tested- one stick may be a weak link. Also, if you can like on the Maximus/Rampage boards, perhaps try skewing the chanel delay/advance for each DIMM as signal timing may be off due to the difference in distance from each RAM slot to the MCH.
