and good job cherrypicking dual-threaded apps buddy, why do you think it is that a 6400X2 is keeping up with the q6600? and on another note, I just realized you posted two power consumption benchmarks.... who cares about power benchmarks? why would you even link those, just to show off some graphcs where intel beats the phenom?

again, you know the truth, but you continue to try to puff Intel up, for only god knows what reason.

I've been trying to say the same thing but then one of his buddies always defends him and bashes me. Oh and no offense Paul, but it's true and sadly you're not the only one with this type of attitude.

For refrence, here's an example of Paul's bad habit of beleiving he's superior:

I know I'll get bashed, but so what, these type of people need to be called out...there's too much jerks on OCN.

You can quote me on that.

One more thing, I remembe reading how Paul owns Intel stocks...would def. explain his fanboyish posts.

The E8400 is faster than it... so I suppose it is competing with that....

There is nothing wrong with accessing the value of this product compared to its competitors.

Again, stop with the sensitivity. I claim that the E8400 is a better purchase. This is not bashing AMD it is suggesting reality. If you disagree why don't you offer me an argument, not a complaint.
none of what you say is very relavent since we all know you are a top 10 intel fanboy.

we dont ALWAYS need to hear about how intel is leading in performance.

it gets old dude!

Paul puffs up Intel because he owns intel stock.

I'm happy for the new chips out. I put off buying a computer for something like +2yrs. Unfortunately I'm up to my eyeballs in debt, so we'll see when i get money to buy a new computer...which will be after i finish turboing my car, paying off my credit cards, buying a new sofa and probably after i get a flatscreen tv.

3.5 you say? Well then I think I'll be waiting for the 9850. Hopefully as multicore usage gets better, that will delay the need for me to get a new processor once i get the 9850.

I've been stuck with my crappy system so long that ANY upgrade will be huge. Hell, i built a system for my ex using the low end brisbane chip and that computer, in Vista, did laps around my computer in XP.

Thread Starter
Looks like a started a war with this post.... Just wanted to let others know that Newegg was now selling B3 Phenom's...

But I should have known that this does happen anytime you mention AMD or ATI in a post.

E8200 outperforms Phenom 9550 even in some applications that use 4 cores

http://anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/sho...px?i=3272&p=11

Just look at photoshop and DivX encoding benchmark. Both application use 4 cores, yet E8200 performed better.

And remember this E8200, not E8400
