I didn't realize that 360 was so good for media sharing. I don't think I'll need a media center PC for my DIY projector, this thing already has my movies streaming to it. The one I fixed is still kicking after a lot of use.

What error code did that 360 have?

I had an E74, lapped the heatsinks & did the penny-fix and its working like a champ.

The one I fixed with the x-clamp mod had rrod, didn't show any errors it would just freeze if it did start to load though. The one I'm sending to Microsoft on warranty has rrod and once I loaded it and it showed e74.

I got another one coming thats the premium with the hard drive I mentioned earlier. I'll tell you how that goes. Supposed to come on Monday but its signature confirmation, I probably won't be around to sign for it.

I think If you really wanna get one to mod or fix I would try and get it from somebody who doesn't sell a ton of them. Because those places who sell like 20 a day are probably lying about not knowing whats wrong with them. I'm sure most of them are gone for good and they already tried to fix them. So if its somebody just selling one you can roll the dice and hope you can fix what they screwed up.

^^You know that's actually good advice. Plus those guys who sale alot of xboxes usually know they worth and try to screw you in the end.
