x-fi prelude subwoofer not working

Thread Starter
I just picked up my prelude today, however as soon as I plugged it in and everything was all messed up, the rear channels were coming through the front (front was still working). I opened up the audio console and then the rear channels started working but the subwoofer went out. Now i cant get the subwoofer to work (even w/ a driver reinstall using driver cleaner). The subwoofer still works w/ other computers, and the center channel is fine.

I've tried messing with every setting in the audio console I can think of an no luck. I'm newly using vista 64 bit and I'm using the newest drivers. I haven't been able to find anything related to my problem . anyone able to help?

I don't think that the prelude works well with vista 64 bit... If you can try it with another OS then do that because that will tell you if it is the card or the OS

best I can say is to remove the card altogether, uninstall all audio drivers then put the card back in and reinstall the newest drivers from there site. I think you have already tried this but.... it might work now.?

well if you can ask the question in the morning before you do an os swap because they can be a pain if you have one hard drive (aka reinstalling an os) I think you know this be just in case there might be more people alive to.

Plugged into the wrong slots? Open the speaker system set up and do that.
