Waqasr, have you tried testing with a different PSU? Are you testing your board outside of the case? Have you tried unplugging all of your other devices?

Let us know

Good luck

bumpppp

I am having this problem right now! I am testing out a processor my friend gave me. The long beep is suppose to indicate a dram error but I have switched the the stick I was using between 3 different brand sticks. I know they all work.

Jrs, sorry for the late response. Did you make sure all the power connectors were properly plugged in? Does the video card require additional power (ie. 4-pin or 6-pin power connector)? Typically one long beep does mean a memory issue so you are on the right track. I would also try reseating the processor to see if that helps.

Good luck

I figured it out. I just moved my stick of ram...it was too simple. It booted right up when I put the ram in the second orange slot. Then I moved it back and the same problem again. Dual channel using that slot works. It's weird. Thanks for the reply.

I had the same issue earlier this morning. Went to school, frustrated, came home and fixed it - I took out both RAM sticks, put one of them back in and it worked. I put my BIOS on fail safe settings, shut down, put the other stick in and it was fine.
By the way my beep code was continuous really long beeps. Glad you fixed your problem!
