[VR Zone] New CPU Watercooler - Page 5

The concept for the block is terrible... We have 1/2" lines going through a fuzion. This does NOT look that big. When water enters one side, it would be cool. By the time it circulated over the top of the block that many times, the water hitting the core on the far end would be hot. So on a quad your temperatures might go 32-35-38-41 at idle. If it was even that good.

It has to be someone's homebrew project they tried, and cut off an air cooler's heatpipes. Has to be.. Nothing manufactured would be that ugleh

..looks fake, etc.

I think this would work better if the incoming water were split with a y-connector and then forced through two sets of heat pipes, so the incoming water would come in two heatpipes, then enter the other two and leave the heatsink in two pipes.

I agree with Orion for his reason, plus the tiny little heatpipes are going to be so restrictive, hence why I would use two sets of two pipes. that would work the best. Plus the direct contact with the cpu should help out, would love to see this in action.

I'm sure it's been said before, but tubing's not going to dissipate heat, that's pointless, heatpipes are for transferring heat to the fins of a HSF

guys, these aren't heatpipes

It's tubing that's been routed under to the CPU HSF. Don't think of them as "chopped open heatpipes", think of them as "moulded tubing"

I think it could be an interesting concept... However, I would also think this could benefit from something like this...

basically, the cold inlet water splits into three and whisks away heat as it passes across the HSF. It's all in my diagram XD
